The continuous determination of Cardiac Output (CO) has proved a central means to estimate heart function and has therefore an essential role in diagnostics and clinical medicine. This is the reason why, expecially in recent years, many different methods for CO evaluation have been developed.

 

The MostCare data processing is based on a sophisticated patented algorithm called (Pressure Recording Analytical Method). The high frequency sampling (1000Hz) and the analysis of the pressure curve provide an automatic detection of all significant curve points, according to the physical theory of perturbations.



CONTINUOUS MONITORING

the pressure wave is ALWAYS displayed and analysed beat-to-beat, allowing an istantaneous evaluation of the signal acquired.

 

NO CALIBRATION

only the pressure waveform and its morphological analysis are used. Neither invasive calibration procedures nor patient data (height, weight, age and gender) are required.

  

MINIMAL INVASIVE

it just requires one arterial pressure signal acquired from a peripheral catheter (radial artery or femoral artery).

 

APPLICABLE ON PAEDIATRIC PATIENTS AND IN PRESENCE OF IABP

without the need of reference experimental data, it becomes possible to apply the monitoring to any patient type, also with mechanical support devices affecting the haemodynamic behaviour (intra aortic balloon pump, haemofiltration, VADs). 

 

NO NEED FOR DEDICATED DISPOSABLE

MostCare works with common catheters and transducers or with analogue signals from external monitors already applied to the patient.

 

PLUG AND PLAY SYSTEM

without the need of calibration, it is possible to visualize the haemodynamic parameters immediately after providing MostCare with a pressure signal.
